Young People and Wildlife
Lots of nationwide wildlife groups have ongoing
activitites and surveys that you can be involved with. Here are a
few:
The Mammals Trust UK :

Living with Mammals
records mammals in the green spaces within and around our urban and
built-environments, from gardens and allotments to areas around farm
buildings and waterways.
Mammals on Roads records
sightings and mammal casualties along roads with the aim of
estimating population numbers in the wider landscape.

The Mammal Society is keen to encourage people to
make records of mammals so that it can build accurate distribution
maps of mammals in Britain and monitor their status. They also have
a great children's magazine.

including a special look at bumble bees and their nests. Lots of
